Delcom School Board Policies

The Delaware Community School Board shall hire the Superintendent for a term of not less than one year and no more than three years. The Board shall fix the Superintendent’s salary. In accordance with state law, the proposed contract will be presented at a public meeting and published on the corporation website. This paragraph does not apply to an interim superintendent.

• The Board will attempt to attract and retain the services of a qualified and experienced educator to serve as Superintendent.
• The Board recognizes and respects that it is the Superintendent’s responsibility to conduct the day-to-day operations of the corporation in accordance with the policies of the Board.
